MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Friends,
For more than 99 years, our organization has been focused on the needs of the widows and children of all deceased members of the Department. As I sit to write this message to you, I reflect on our growing membership base and busy, successful year. Since being elected as your President, I have been overwhelmed by the support and trust you have placed in me. You have entrusted me to lead this organization, and work on your behalf. I could not be more proud, or ready to meet this challenge. In our work, I have the help and support of our outstanding membership. We could not function as a club without the great work of these inspiring men and women who make up our Executive Board. I especially want to recognize my predecessor, Past President Stephen Dinko, for the three years of hard work and outstanding leadership.
Over the summer, we hosted our annual Coney Island Outing with the NYPD Widows and Orphans. The widows, children, and membership enjoyed the beautiful sunshine, food, and rides. It is an example of how we, as an organization, stay in touch with the families who have suffered the loss of their loved ones and most importantly, to remind them that we are always there for them as we are family. As we move forward, we focus our efforts on increasing membership along with promoting our various events.
I look forward to seeing you at our Monthly Membership meetings, and invite you to our numerous events. This is the NYPD Anchor Club, and I thank you for entrusting it to me.
Fraternally Yours,
Joshua Laveglia
President
