The Anchor Club is an order of Knights of Columbus within the New York City Police Department which began on April 22, 1922 who do charitable support for the widows and children of all deceased members of our great police department.
The New York City Police Anchor Club, branch No. 1 began on April 22, 1922 by members of the New York City Police Department who were also members of the Knights of Columbus. We are a 501(c)(3) organization that provides the Widows and Children of the N.Y.P.D. with support and activities throughout the year. The New York City Police Anchor Club is known as the “Club with a Heart”. We are sure that you would be very satisfied seeing the smiles of the widows and children during these events.
As a direct result of our fundraising efforts we are able arrange some of the following activities for the widows and their children:
NY Aquarium Outing
a day of fun at Coney Island
NY Mets Game
Christmas Tree Lighting at Rockefeller Center
Ice skating at Rockefeller Center
Children’s Christmas Party
a family day of fishing on the Captain Jim II
We ask that you please consider a donation to our organization. Any monetary contributions will be used towards offsetting our cost for the many events we arrange for our widows and children.
